Shields

DSE’s range of ballistic shields are made from advanced material designed to reduce the weight without compromising on performance. The shields are available in a standard range of sizes and offering protection to Level 11, 111a, 111 and IV.

The shields are designed to allow for easy entry into buildings and offer good overall body coverage. They incorporate a multifunctional handle enabling the shield to be used by both left and right handed people and also incorporates two additional handles to allow the shield to be held with the forearm vertically. To ease the load of the shield there is a neck strap which allows the shield to hang across the body and frees both hands for other tasks.

To reduce damage to the edges of the shield they are covered in a special hard wearing resistant material. The medium, large and X Large shields have the additional benefit of a NIJ level IIIA window (250mm x 100mm). A larger window (400mm x 100mm) is also available.
